The person behind the cattery

FIN* Quiero was accepted and registered in FIFe in 2005. I breed devon rex cats in my hometown Helsinki which is the capital of Finland. Read more about my breeding and thoughts about breeding in general. I'm one of the founders and the current chairman for the Finnish Devon rex Association.
Animals have always been a big part of my life, I've owned and taken care of many different creatures. But when I saw a devon rex in a catshow in 2003, I lost my heart. Hissunkissun Elli moved in with me in the winter 2004. And as so many devon-lovers before me has said, it doesn't stop there...
In the spring of 2005 Tikrun Tijuana moved in with me because I realized it's not enough to have one devon rex on its own. The idea of breeding devon rex cats had been in my thoughts because I find breeding and genetics really interesting. So around Christmas 2005 I traveled to Norway to pick up Mega Miaow's Myrun. The last addition to my cats at home was in 2007 when my dream of importing a cat from totally different blodlines came true. Elvendali Pinak came to me all the way from New Zealand. I have of course imported other cats but they live with trusted friends and family.
All my cats are equally important to me and I couldn't give up any of them even if it would at some point benefit my breeding - to me the breeding itself is not as important as the wellbeeing of my cats. My cats are first and foremost beloved pets and that is why I also search for loving pethomes for my cats.
